Worsleyworks is digital open studio of verse experiments generated over decades. The experiments are organized into various books, which I continue to update. Each book has an introduction explaining the parameters of the experiment. They are linked below and accessible through the navigation bar as well.
The poems are paired with images of a century-old tree that I have photographed for years as it grows in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The marriage of verse and image supports the themes that captivate me: nature, consciousness, time and love.
Some of the books include extended elucidations of the writing, reflecting my interest in building creative communities by tying education to personal expression. Go directly to the illustrated poems if you prefer to skip the prose.
